About 780 miles and 17 hours into our trip, we stopped just into Illinois at the Salt Kettle rest area to cook up some cheddarwursts for supper.

It was a nice break with the soft sounds of the sprayer fountains in the pond almost drowning out the whining if the kids because they saw some bugs. *sigh* Just keeping it real, folks. 

Back on the road now; about 190 miles to our planned stop for the night.
